Jaymes Richerson

Our beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, on died June 29, 2024, as a result of severe injuries sustained in a tragic fire. Jaymes was surrounded with love and memories of family and friends with his parents at his side. Jaymes was born on November 12, 1987, in Brewster, WA, to parents Vernita and James. He spent his grade school years in Chelan, WA, where he spent many hours in Lake Chelan and at the family apple "Ranch" with loving grandparents, uncles, and cousin, Terence. Jaymes moved with his family in the 6th grade to the Methow Valley and attended Pateros Schools. Jaymes loved the home in the Methow, as it afforded lots of adventures, dogs, and his love of the outdoors and agriculture. Jaymes played every sport he could at Pateros Schools: football, basketball, baseball, and track. He did well in all sports; excelling in track - running the 440 meter, as well as the 440 meter relay, It was a joy to cheer him on. Jaymes formed so many valuable friendships in the Brewster and Pateros area, he could always be relied on as a loyal friend who believed in the best in people. After graduating high school, Jaymes attended Wenatchee Valley College for basic studies and then returned after a break to study agriculture, where he excelled in the campus green house and tree fruit studies. He found many great friends in his college journeys. Jaymes was a hard worker and worked in various jobs in the Methow and Chelan valleys, with the most recent being installing docks long term at The Dock Company in Chelan, where his swimming, mechanical, construction and technical skills came into play. One of Jayme’s favorite jobs was working at Sweet River Bakery in Pateros, working in his hometown where he saw his Pateros friends and made many new friends. Jaymes is survived by his mother, Vernita (Dietrich) Nolan and step-father, Martin Nolan of Ellensburg, WA; grandparents, Karl and Lynda (Whitney) Dietrich of Chelan, WA; uncles: Les Dietrich and Doug (Pam) Dietrich of Chelan, WA; step-:brothers Brian Nolan of Chelan, WA, and Matt (Randi) Nolan of Roseburg, OR; close cousin, Terence Dietrich of Chelan, WA; cousin, Lynda Dietrich of Chelan, WA; and close friend, Shaquelle Tisdale of Chelan, WA. He had many beloved family members in the Dietrich and Richerson families, he loved his large family very much. Jaymes was preceded in death by his father, James Richerson; grandparents, James and Irene Richerson; and cousin, Jonathon Richerson. We are forever grateful for the services of the Lake Chelan Community Hospital and the excellent care Jaymes received by the expert team at the Harborview Surgical Burn Unit.
