June 16, 1995 - September 2, 2014
It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of our son, Logan James Richard Miller. Logan died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, September 2. He loved to ride and be out in the wind where it gave him time to think and be independent. Logan was born on June 16, 1995 in Brewster and was the long-awaited boy in the Miller family. As a young child, he was a comic, entertainer, and adventurer. His smile melted your heart and let him get away with more than he should have. He loved to go on the family vacations, run through the Redwoods, and swim in every pool he could. He got his first motorcycle at 10 years old and also passed his hunter education that year. He had a passion for shooting and enjoyed the outdoors. In second grade, he started AAU basketball with his classmates and played on incredibly successful teams for the next seven years. In high school, he was able to play junior varsity for his father. He was a four-year letterman in track and received the Coaches Award his senior year. He was a member of Honor Society and FFA and took college coursework and AP classes his senior year. He and his best friend, Brandon Medina, went on many adventures and camping trips and had big plans for college and beyond. Logan is survived by his parents, Rick and Cindy Miller, sisters Sara and Caitlin Miller, Grandparents Rich and Joan Miller of Roslyn, Grandparents Cliff and Yvonne Mathews of Omak, Grandfather Bill Windle of Brewster, Uncle Tony Windle and cousins Kristen, Ryan, and Tyce of Brewster, Aunt Rosalyn O’Donnell and cousins Coulson and Brynne of Ellensburg. Services for Logan will be Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Brewster High School. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation directly to an animal shelter or humane society of your choice.
