    "Chub" Milo

    December 16, 1939 - June 7, 2015

Chub Milo, beloved companion, world’s greatest Dad, devoted grandfather and terrific pal, left us suddenly on June 7, 2015, while having a glorious day surrounded by many of the people he cherished in Chelan, WA. Chub is survived by the love of his life, Nancy Kettrick; his children, Samantha and Tony; Nancy’s children, Marci and Mitch; his grandchildren, Kelsi, Justin, Joshua, Tyler, Brian, Kyle, Carmen, Danielle and Francesca; his great-grandchild, Makayla; his brother Bud; and his sister, Lela. Chub was born in Wagoner, OK on December 16, 1939, to James and Ruth Milo. He spent his childhood and the majority of his adult life in Bremerton, WA, graduating from Bremerton High School before honorably serving his country in the Army National Guard. While in Bremerton, he had a long and successful career as an electrician and homebuilder. He was an avid athlete and sports fan who played and coached several sports, was a core team member of a Bremerton-based sprint car team for decades, and super-fan of all levels of team sports and car racing. Eight years ago, he and Nancy became proud, full-time residents of Wenatchee and Chelan, WA. Above all, Chub was devoted to his family, friends and community. Always on the ready to jump in and lend a hand, he was the go-to-guy for all who loved him, and that was an incredibly long list. Chub’s greatest passion was for children, through his own kids and Nancy, he amassed a huge fan base of children of all ages who counted themselves as massively blessed to have him as Dad, 2nd Dad, Foster Dad, Uncle, Grandpa and plain-old Pal. He had an infectious sense of humor and a mischievous way of bringing everyone into the joke. Whenever there was a gathering, Chub could be counted on to make it lively and fun. He was a man who loved with a big, open heart and made an enormous impact on all those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A Celebration of Chub’s Life is scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2015, at the Precht Rose Chapel, 332 E. Woodin Avenue in Chelan, WA. Reverend Kyle Plew will officiate. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements by Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
