March 24, 1945 - June 6, 2021
Anna Georgia McCullough, 76, left us June 6, 2021 after bravely fighting cancer for one and a half years. Anna was born in Tonasket on March 24, 1945 to Woodrow and Bessie (Cline) Bailey. She married Clyde Ray McCullough on March 24, 1965, her birthday, in Bridgeport. They had three sons: Clyde Jr, Darren, and Chris. Clyde and Anna have lived in Chelan Falls for about 30 years. Anna is retired from the Postal Service where she worked for 27 years at the Chelan Falls Post Office where she was Postmaster for the last 20 years. Anna enjoyed sewing and quilting, reading, travelling, cake baking and cooking. Another of her passions was working at the Chelan Rustlers Saddle Club and Rodeo Grounds where she and Clyde did caretaking on the grounds and helped with events for many, years. They also cared for many horses when their owners needed help. She would love on every horse, pony or mule, give them treats, help feed and water and above all, cleaned corrals while dressed to the hilt in color coordinated outfits, always wearing color matching flip flops, and jewelry that totally matched her outfit; earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. Her hair was always done perfectly. She was the best dressed horse caregiver that has ever been and the horses loved her. This was Anna. Anna was quite the cook and always prepared foods for the Saddle Club picnics and also for events at the Manson American Legion where Clyde is the commander. She would also make festive decorations for the events. Anna is survived by her husband, Clyde Ray McCullough, son Clyde Junior of Chelan Falls, son Darren (wife Kim) of California, son Chris (wife Jessica) of Lake Stevens. She also leaves her sister, Leah Thomas of Selah, sister Gwen Johnson of Bridgeport, brother Neil McKee of Bridgeport, and brother Eugene McKee of Omak. Anna leaves three granddaughters in Lake Stevens, Sophia, Olivia, and Caroline. Anna wanted to remember her two close friends; Shirly Hammerquist of Chelan Falls and Suzanne Newby of Manson and all her close friends at the Saddle Club, all whom she would have done anything for. She will be lovingly missed by all. Graveside service for Anna will be June 25, 2021 at 1:00 at Chelan Fraternal Cemetery, 815 N. Bradley St, Chelan. A celebration of life will be at the Chelan Rustlers Saddle Club immediately after which is right next door. Tributes may be as flowers, assistance with funeral expenses all directed to Precht Rose Chapel of Chelan, or a remembrance donation in Anna’s name may be made to the Chelan Rustler’s Junior Rodeo as well, a 501 (c4) non-profit.
