William S Fredrickson

It is with heavy a heart that we announce the passing of William Scott Fredrickson, beloved husband, father, son, and friend, on December 5th, 2024, at the age of 65. Scott passed away peacefully in Brewster, Washington after a battle with a failing liver due to cancer. Scott was born on November 8th, 1959, in Moses Lake, Washington to William Fredrickson (father) and Joy Olmsted (mother). He grew up in Western Washington and enlisted into the United States Navy in the late 1970's, where he developed a passion for cooking and a love for listening to music and attending concerts. He loved to share stories of the bands he was able to see in person. Beyond his enlistment in the Navy and following careers that included fishing from the waters off the coast of Alaska, being a lead chef in the Stehekin Valley then as a Class A Semitruck Driver, Scott was a man of great character and kindness. He was known for his generosity, sense of humor, and always putting others before himself. His love for his daughters was evident and he immensely enjoyed chatting with them and about them when he could. Scott is survived by his wife, Melissa & beloved felines (Bella, Scoobert, Daphnie & Gretchen), his cherished daughters, Haylee & Morgan Fredrickson, his mother and dad, Joy & Keith Olmsted, as well as his devoted siblings and their spouses, Todd & Wendy Fredrickson, Terri & Ken Inglis, and Lisa & Matt DesRosiers. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and close friends who will miss him dearly. Scott was predeceased by Noel Fredrickson, his beloved first wife and mother of his two beautiful daughters, as well as his father, William H. Fredrickson. A celebration of Scott's life will be held in the Spring/Summer of 2025 with details to come and will be posted on his Facebook page. Friends and family are invited to attend and share their memories. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Regency Harmony House, the Brewster Hospital and Precht Rose/Barnes Chapel staff and care givers for the compassionate care and support provided during this difficult time. Scott's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever be remembered and cherished by all who knew him. He touched the lives of many and leaves behind a world that is better for having had him in it.
