Sheryl Steelman

Sheryl Ann Steelman, 84, passed away on February 22, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. Sheryl was born to Wesley Rossworn and Nellie (Putnam) Rossworn on March 10, 1940, in Spokane, WA. Sheryl graduated Northwest Christian High School in 1957. Sheryl met Eldon Steelman while attending Spokane Community College. She was a single mother raising her three daughters. Sheryl married Eldon the love of her life on November 14, 1964. They began their lives together as a newly formed family of five. Sheryl followed her husband, Eldon’s career as an ironworker to several different cities finally settling in 1971 on the Brewster bar. They built their dream home together where they lived out the rest of their lives. Sheryl worked at Magi for many years. She started on the sorting line advancing to the packing line then shipping clerk and finally in the accounting department until they closed. She also worked at Chelan Fresh and Custom Packing where she retired. Sheryl loved the Lord and her faith has been the main focus of her life. She served in many capacities while attending the Brewster Assembly of God for nearly fifty years. Sheryl loved her family. She loved Christmas and preparing her home for her children and their families each year. Her grandchildren brought her so much joy through the years. Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents; Eldon, her husband of 60 years; daughter, Kimberly Stetner; brothers: Albert, Norman, Donald, and Robert Rossworn; sisters: Marjorie Orwig and Betty Harvey. She is survived by daughters: Theresa (Larry) Bowman and Shelly (David) Socci; son-in-law, Steve Stetner; eight grandchildren: Benjamin, Andrea, Jaime, Lareasa, Philip, Angela, David J. and Aaron; twenty-two great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and their spouses. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Barnes Chapel (510 W. Indian Ave., Brewster, WA) on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 1 P.M., followed by a meal provided by the family at the Brewster Grange. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Brewster Assembly of God
